PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

FOR YOUR PET, YOU MUST AGREE TO THESE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO MAKING AN APPOINTMENT;

Veterinary Care, Medical Problems & Senior Dog
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for senior dog or dog with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current condition(s) during or after the groom. Senior dog and dog with health problems have a greater chance of injury; these dogs will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in a manner that will not add to their stress. In the best interest of your dog this contract/agreement will allow BARKBER to obtain immediate veterinary treatment for your dog should it be deemed necessary. BARKBER will do its best to contact the owner; otherwise we will take your dog to our authorized veterinarian or to the nearest veterinarian that is available. It is agreed that all expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the dog’s owner upon signing this contract/agreement to a maximum of $500 until contact with owner is established.

Accidents
There is always a risk when dealing with animals, and although rare, should an accident occur, you will be notified. If BARKBER deem it is serious and the owner is not contactable, BARKBER will seek immediate veterinary care for your dog.

Fleas
Should your dog have any fleas they will be given a flea bath at your expense of an extra $10-15.

Dangerous or Aggressive Animals – Refusal of Services
In the event that your dog becomes too stressed or dangerous to groom, BARKBER has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services or cancel grooming services at any time before, during or after grooming and client will be charged appropriately for work completed to that point.

Double Coats or Heavy Coats
We are no longer taking any bookings of double or heavy coats if your dog haven’t been groomed more than 3 months and BARKBER reserves the right of final decision.

Matted Coats
Dogs with severely matted coats require extra attention. BARKBER will not cause serious or undue stress to dogs by de-matting. Mats can be difficult to remove and may require the dog to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the dog’s skin, allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, and or revealing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After effects of the mat removal can include itchiness, redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of hair to regrow. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure and any risk. There is an additional charge for this process.

Interruptions During Grooming Services
If you come to pick up before you have received a message, and it is still being groom, please wait until the grooming has been completed (ex. full groom can takes up to 3 hours). We reserve the right to end the grooming session and the full grooming price will be charged.

Cancellations/No Show
BARKBER require any cancellations are made at least 24 business hours in advance. Failure to inform us will result in an extra fee being charged upon the next visit. Please note that if you cancel without significant notice or do not show for your appointment, we are still required to pay staff and loss of income for an appointment we could have filled! If you no shows 3 times within a one year period, we will no longer be able to offer appointments to your pet.

Payment
Payment is strictly due at time of pick up. Pricing is subject to change.

Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy/would like something adjusted, please let us know when you pick up your dog. We offer a free touch up within 3days (excluded body length), any after return visits are treated as a new appointment and charged accordingly.
